Again, I have waited much too long to write, but camp has been a busy, busy place! It's already Wednesday nite of the first week! It's actually been a very easy week....kids are terrific....staff is terrific....John is having great adult sessions in the afternoon. We had 450 red, white & blue mardi gras beads to throw instead of fireworks. Lots of good music, fun and laughter. Ramps are going up quickly and the work is getting done even in the heat.
The big story is the temperature....during the late afternoon Home Depot run yesterday it was still 104. I am loving having Lois from our church camping this week....she is incredible. Old timers are here in and out with their families. The little laughing girl in the Workcamp bib is Ainsleigh Thomas Gaskins little girl, Kate.
Really looking forward to Week #2....Jon David and the girls are coming....Maybe a visit by Glenn & Sheila.
